Thank you for your valued enquiry and custom, we hope and trust that you will choose to stay in our home.

We bought 12onParkesLane as a holiday home….as a family we reside in Pretoria and come on holiday for 3-4 months in the year. Because of the innate beauty of the Island and what Knysna has to offer, we decided to rent 2 rooms at an affordable price to share the rare beauty of the Island and the plethora of what Knysna has to offer to guests. When we are not here, the house is rented out to guests as well.

Because we are not on site all the time, we do have a House Manager who will take care of you during your stay. We can be contacted at any time too during your stay should you need to make contact with us. The pool is available for you to use as well….the pool deck can be accessed from the gate on the right hand side of the house. Just take a short walk down the deck at the side of the house and turn left to the pool deck at the end of the walkway. Pool towels are available if you need some as well.

Parking is available for you to use, that runs parallel to the road in front of your room. Please be aware there may be guests staying next door to you…so please park to accommodate them as well. Should that parking be full, please feel free to use the main house parking as well.

Free wifi is available for you to use during your stay.

Just a friendly reminder, Knysna is a water stressed environment. Please conserve water during your stay. To that end, we have got spike water(underground water from an aquifer under Leisure Island) to water the garden and top up the pool. This all happens automatically through computerized systems.

Furthermore, Knysna and South Africa are electricity stressed as well. We ask your assistance in minimizing your electrical footprint through conscious electricity management(switching off lights, aircons, roof fans, heaters and TV’s whilst not in the room.)

We have also computerized the outside lights for your convenience. The outside light will go on at 6am and off at 6h30. In the evening the lights will go on at 18h15 and off at 20h30.

We have put a manual together to assist you in your stay with regards to basic general management of your room and or the Main House, to offer Emergency numbers as well as offer advice for restaurants and activities in and around Knysna.

Our staff should have taken care of all the necessary sequence of events to prepare the guesthouse/room for your arrival. However, should they have missed something, or if you have any questions/queries.
